MT-PLC-FAT

Dual-Bridge & Fatigue-Rated Pancake Load Cells

Two independent Wheatstone bridges can feed separate acquisition channels. A fatigue configuration additionally requires a defined force spectrum, mean load and fixture design; adding a second bridge does not establish fatigue life.

Capacity-specific acceptance

Define the load envelope behind the number.

  • Define mean force, alternating amplitude, frequency, waveform and required cycle count.
  • For a 10^8-cycle request, specify the full test spectrum and request the corresponding validation evidence.
  • Specify two acquisition chains and bridge-to-bridge comparison limits. Functional safety certification is a separate system requirement.
Target non-linearity ±0.03% to ±0.05% FS is a configuration request, not a universal calibrated-system uncertainty. Request non-linearity, hysteresis, repeatability, creep and temperature effects as separate acceptance items.

Questions to settle before the fixture is frozen.

Are the bridge excitations and outputs independent?

Define mean force, alternating amplitude, frequency, waveform and required cycle count.

At what mean load and amplitude is cycle life assessed?

For a 10^8-cycle request, specify the full test spectrum and request the corresponding validation evidence.

Does dual-bridge hardware establish a safety integrity rating?

Specify two acquisition chains and bridge-to-bridge comparison limits. Functional safety certification is a separate system requirement.

Packed mass and freight are itemized.

Compact models (1–25 kN): DHL Express parcel quotation with destination-specific transit estimates. Intermediate models (over 25 to under 50 kN): shipping assessed by packed mass. Heavy-capacity models (50–2,000 kN), including base assemblies: itemized DHL/FedEx heavy air freight on the formal Proforma Invoice. Availability, dispatch, customs and final freight are confirmed for the actual assembly and destination.

The engineering brief defines a request. The released datasheet and STEP file are supplied for the reviewed part and revision.

Define the measured result

Approve the calibration boundary with the fixture.

Specify whether the calibration covers the sensor alone or the sensor, mounting base, button, cable and amplifier as a system. Request traceability and uncertainty for the actual force range and direction.

Review calibration, standards and record requirements ↗

For a replacement, retain the full original model, both drawing revisions and the receiving instrument configuration. Machine verification is a separate acceptance step.

Request a calibration plan ↗
Engineering intake

Bring the load path.
We’ll review the fit.

Send your capacity, center thread and mounting envelope. Include the full original part number when replacing an installed sensor.

Request a dimensioned drawing, capacity-specific calibration plan and itemized hardware quotation before freezing the fixture.

CAD and test reports are supplied for the agreed configuration. No generic drawing is presented as an approved production part.

Include center-thread engagement, the base/button stack and flange pilots. Original-model dimensions and proposed MT-PLC dimensions are reviewed separately.

Required Hardware & Signal Options

Budget increments only. Engineering checks the selected sensor, integral/replaceable button, thread, amplifier protocol and calibration scope before quoting the assembly.
